Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a National Bridge Design Leader to shape a fast-growing Bridge & Structures practice across the U.S. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and expand Ulteig's presence with DOTs, tribes, and municipalities.

You bring PE licensure, a civil/structural background, and a track record in leading bridge design; expect hybrid/remote work within the United States and 10–20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering; master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Direct technical and client experience in the Upper Midwest, Mountain West or Texas.
• Hybrid or remote within the U.S.; willing to travel ~10–20%.
• Experience in bridge design and review for state DOTs, counties, municipalities, or tribal entities.
• Experience with advanced bridge analysis/design platforms such as RISA, STAAD.Pro, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, OpenBridge Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex bridge engineering efforts from concept through completion with high quality.
• Manage scopes, budgets, and schedules with disciplined execution.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and build a high-performing Bridge & Structures team.
• Develop client relationships and pursue strategic opportunities.
