Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a National Bridge Design Leader to shape a rapidly growing Bridge & Structures practice. You will lead complex bridge engineering from concept to completion, mentor engineers, and expand Ulteig's presence with DOTs, tribal nations, and local agencies.

The role emphasizes client development, risk management, and technical delivery across the Upper Midwest, Mountain West, Texas, and beyond, with flexible work arrangements and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering; master's preferred.
• PE license required.
• Hybrid or remote within the U.S.; travel 10–20% to support clients, project sites, and internal teams.
• Extensive bridge design and review experience for public agencies.
• Experience with advanced bridge analysis platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex bridge engineering from concept through completion with high quality.
• Solve advanced structural challenges in steel and concrete systems.
• Perform independent technical reviews to ensure safety and constructability.
• Drive winning pursuits and help grow Ulteig's bridge practice.
• Mentor junior engineers and strengthen client relationships.
