Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics activities on a national scale. You will collect, analyze, and interpret data, support underwriting evaluations, renewal negotiations, and funding analyses while partnering with Benefits teams to drive client decisions.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, BI tooling, and collaboration with producers and account teams to optimize outcomes and performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and consultative solution‑development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision‑making
• Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses
• Deliver data‑driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance
• Partner with Producers and Benefits teams by providing analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives
• Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices to improve consistency and results
• Utilize and evaluate analytics, reporting, and BI tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness
• Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance
• Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, analytical capabilities, and service delivery
• Partner with Senior Analytics Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support client objectives
• Maintain clear communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities
• Provide analytical guidance and support team development through knowledge sharing
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and industry best practices
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and established analytical procedures
• Demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions
