Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics initiatives nationwide, support underwriting and funding analyses, and deliver data-driven client insights. You will partner with Benefits teams and senior consultants to drive renewals, negotiations, and strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes advanced analytics, BI tooling, and collaboration across producers, account teams, and carriers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics & interpretation: gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data.
  • Underwriting support: evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations for carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Client consulting: deliver data-driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
  • Sales support: provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
  • Reporting & presentation development: create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations for clear communication.
  • Compliance: ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and procedures.
  • Champion IOA values: integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism.
