Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to drive data analytics and client insights on a national scale, partnering with benefits teams to inform underwriting, renewals, and strategic decisions.

The role collaborates with producers and account teams to deliver dashboards, reports, and financial exhibits, promoting operational excellence while supporting growth across client portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Data analytics & interpretation of underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision-making.
• Underwriting support: evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations for pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
• Client consulting: deliver data-driven insights to help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
• Sales support: provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
• Reporting & presentation development: create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that convey complex information clearly.
• Analytics process management: develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
• Technology optimization: utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
• Performance analysis: analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Process improvement: recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, analytics capabilities, and service delivery.
• Stakeholder collaboration: work with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support client objectives.
• Communication: maintain clear and consistent communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities.
• Training & knowledge sharing: provide analytical guidance and support team development through knowledge sharing and SME
• Technical expertise: maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and industry best practices.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Champion IOA values: demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism
