Job Summary

This role involves developing and growing Benchmade's Key Account Sales strategically. Responsibilities include analyzing market data, collaborating with our Field Rep Team, managing relationships, supporting merchandising and education efforts, and providing feedback to our product team. The goal is to make Benchmade easy to do business with, increase market share, and foster customer loyalty.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Forecast, create, and manage sales goals for key accounts quarterly.
  2. Collaborate with Demand Planning for accurate forecasts.
  3. Manage travel, expenses, and marketing budgets annually.
  4. Coordinate with Marketing/Brand teams on trainings and events.
  5. Represent Benchmade at trade shows and account events.
  6. Work with various departments to ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  7. Develop and grow product assortments within key accounts, ensuring brand consistency.
  8. Provide in-store merchandising recommendations and coordinate display setups.
  9. Maintain account data and assets, and track sales performance regularly.
  10. Analyze product lines and recommend actions based on market trends.
  11. Support the development of sales processes and strategies.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with national account partners.
  13. Assist in product development and participate in sales-related meetings and associations.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned, including negotiations for account agreements.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of recent sales experience, including 1 year in national sales preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
  • Experience in outdoor, hunting/shooting, farm & ranch, or hardware industries is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and contact management software.
  • Business degree or equivalent sales experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Remote work environment.
  • Ability to obtain a passport within 30 days.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good record.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across the U.S., Canada, and globally, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to set up and break down trade show displays weighing up to 50 lbs.
