Job summary

Watertown Chamber seeks a Culinary Solutions Chef to support ingredient and national account sales with culinary consulting, product development input, and coordination of customer programs.

You will collaborate with customer culinary teams on new item development and menu concepts, aiming to meet sales, market penetration, and profitability goals while traveling extensively as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a formal Culinary Education.
• 2-4 years of sales experience; 3-5 years culinary experience at operator or corporate level.
• Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills; ability to close sales.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer network and provide sales and culinary support and training.
• Efficiently handle product claims and complaints while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Achieve volume, trade spending and profitability goals for assigned accounts.
• Provide up-to-date competitor information.
• Collaborate with the Ingredient/National Account Sales Manager on selling efforts.
• Work with customer culinary teams on product projects; new item development and menu concepts.
• Travel up to 75%.
• Suggest improvements to policies, procedures, techniques, facilities for department efficiency.
• Accept special projects and complete them promptly.
