MEP Health in Naperville, IL is seeking an RN Triage – OBGYN for a part-time role. You will review voicemails, perform nursing assessments by phone, and triage patients to appropriate care levels while educating families.

The position requires strong clinical judgment and excellent communication. The role supports immunizations and assists with procedures, with a schedule of 24 hours per week (M-W-F 8:30-5).

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Science and 1-year telephone triage experience, ideally in a medical practice setting.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patient voicemails and communicate with patients via phone or Mychart, directing them to appropriate care levels or providing home medical advice.
• Conduct telephone assessments using nursing skills to identify problems, intervene as needed, and educate patients/caregivers through teach-back methods.
• Identify high-risk symptoms such as chest pain or severe headaches and direct patients to emergency services immediately.
• Arrange follow-up appointments and assist with patient intake, recording vital signs, and preparing patients for exams or procedures.
• Perform immunizations and assist with diagnostic procedures like colposcopy, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
