ABC Nannies & Domestics, Inc. is seeking a live-out nanny for two young children near Lafayette. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with some flexibility, offering 40 guaranteed hours weekly.

Children are aged 2 years and 2 months. Family supports development in language, routines, and age-appropriate activities, while parents work from home. Compensation is hourly with potential benefits discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of nanny experience with references.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• 18+ years old and a high school graduate.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to renew prior to hire.
• All standard vaccinations including flu, tdap, and COVID-19.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 2 years and 2 months.

About the Children:

• The toddler is energetic, curious, and independent, with a growing interest in language and hands-on learning. She is beginning potty training and may be shy at first.
• The baby is happy and healthy, takes a bottle well, and is developing a feeding and nap routine. Mom is nursing and will be on maternity leave for the first several weeks of the placement.

About the Family:

• Both parents work from home and enjoy an active, outdoorsy lifestyle.
• As first-time nanny employers, they welcome guidance on routines, developmental milestones, and age-appropriate activities.
• Safety is a priority, and the family prefers to avoid crowded outings and large groups while the baby is young.

About the Pets:

• There are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

• All standard Nanny duties, including attentive infant and toddler care, developmentally appropriate play, supporting speech development and potty training, following feeding and sleep routines, preparing bottles and homemade baby food, and managing children’s meals, snacks, and laundry. Additional responsibilities include operating the bottle sanitizer, maintaining children’s spaces, tidying the kitchen and main living areas, and planning safe, engaging activities that support learning and development.

• No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

• 2+ year of nanny experience with infants and toddlers
• Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and ideally COVID-19
• Is responsible, safety-conscious, and attentive to both children's needs.
• Has experience with early speech development, toddler milestones, and infant feeding.
• Communicates openly, takes initiative, and enjoys collaborating with parents.
• Is creative, active, and comfortable guiding first-time parents while respecting their preferences.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

• The family is offering $28-$32/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to a 6-month compensation of $29,120-$33,280

Benefits and Perks Offered:

• This family is offering paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.
• No PTO is offered for the initial 6-month placement.
• This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.
