Job summary

Akzo Nobel in Nashville seeks a Finance professional to manage freight cost control, audit, and validation across North America transportation operations. You will bridge logistics, finance, procurement, and carriers while shaping standardized freight audit processes aligned with SAP TM/BN4L.

Responsibilities include leading end-to-end freight audits, verifying carrier invoices, analyzing cost drivers, supporting accruals and budgeting, and driving automation of audit functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5+ years in finance and accounting within a supply chain environment.
• Experience with Freight Bill and Audit processes or similar controls.
• Knowledge of LTL rating structures, tariffs, and cost components.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details with process discipline.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP TM and BN4L preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end freight audit process and validate carrier invoices against contracts.
• Define and enforce cost control policies and validation rules.
• Ensure data integrity between shipments (TMS), contracts, and invoices.
• Validate freight invoices for LTL rating structures, tariffs, fuel surcharges, and accessorials.
• Analyze cost drivers: base rates, discounts, minimum charges, and accessories.
• Support accruals, forecasting, and budgeting inputs.
• Identify automation opportunities and digitalize audit processes.
• Collaborate with IT and Global teams on system enhancements.
• Lead and develop analysts with clear KPIs and objectives.
