Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States seeks a Director of North America Benefits to own the strategic direction of US and Canada benefit programs, including retirement, health and welfare, and wellbeing. You will lead a team of benefits managers and analysts, partner with Reward and business leaders, and shape programs that attract and retain talent while delivering value.

You will design, govern and optimize benefit platforms, manage vendor relationships, and drive global alignment with the Head

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a broad, benefits-focused role, including at least five years leading teams.
• Experience across North American benefit programs: retirement, health and welfare, and HR policies.
• Demonstrated people leadership: hiring, performance management, development and pay decisions, including difficult conversations handled well.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, implementation and delivery of competitive, innovative and cost-efficient benefit programs across the US and Canada.
• Lead a team of benefits managers and analysts across the US and Canada end to end; manage performance and development.
• Oversee budgets, pricing strategy, cost centers and vendor negotiations to optimize spend and governance.
• Ensure compliance and governance of North America benefit plans and act as a plan fiduciary.
• Own communications strategy for North America benefits to drive awareness and engagement.
• Develop data-driven proposals and measure benefit spend with financial data, benchmarks and trends.
• Collaborate with global benefits teams to align strategy and support M&A activity.
