Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking an MV SWGR NPDI Project Manager to lead product lifecycle activities for the Switchgear product line in the Americas. The role follows the NPDI framework and reports to the global director of product management.

The position will collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, and operations to bring new products to market and phase out old ones. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams across the USA and Mexico,

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering degree required; MBA beneficial but not required.
• Experience in Engineering / Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement processes.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and Project; Smartsheet and Power BI helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage the NPDI process from development through phase-out.
• Collaborate with MV SWGR Product Manager to define new product requirements.
• Develop feature specifications with project stakeholders, including cost and schedule.
• Support marketing literature and promotional materials for launch.
• Coordinate prototype samples with operations to meet timelines for testing and launch.
• Partner with sales, pricing, and finance to ensure financial success of the project.
• Report to executives on project progress and portfolio interconnections.
• Ensure data is loaded into Oracle, PD Cloud, and configuration systems.
• Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to assess manufacturability and capex.
