Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a MV Product Development Manager to lead the definition, engineering alignment, and execution of the Medium-Voltage switchgear portfolio. You will guide mechanical and electrical engineers and test teams to deliver clear specifications and high-quality, certified solutions.

The role emphasizes NPDI effectiveness, faster time-to-market, and strong cross-functional collaboration while maintaining oversight of validation, testing, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 10+ years Engineering Leadership experience.
• R&D, Product Engineering, Technical team management
• Product Design & Engineering: Full product lifecycle expertise.
• Testing & Compliance: DVT, Regulatory, safety, and certification
• Experience mentoring Product Engineers, Lead Engineers, Sustaining and Test teams.
• Engineering software and systems familiarity: Oracle, Agile, Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, PD Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership defining new product design specifications for Medium-Voltage Switchgear.
• Lead cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, application engineering, and manufacturing.
• Mentor and coach Product engineers, Lead engineers, Sustaining and Test teams.
• Drive innovation, reliability, and NPDI product launch excellence.
• Oversee lab and Test engineers, budget and capital projects.
• Organize and drive Design Reviews, DFx Reviews, Pilot Builds, Testing and PPAP activities.
