Job summary

Vertiv in the United States seeks a seasoned Application Engineering Manager to lead MV switchgear design support and cost estimation from 5kV to 38kV. You will ensure ANSI/IEEE, IEC compliance and alignment with customer specs and project needs.

Collaborating with sales and engineering, you will develop custom solutions, prepare technical docs, and maintain margin discipline while guiding customers through configurations for air‑insulated and GIS architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in power distribution or electrical systems.
• Experience with MV equipment and standards (ANSI/IEEE/IEC).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience contributing to SMEs and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in MV product selection and application.
• Assist customers in design and configuration of power systems.
• Develop custom MV solutions based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for compatibility and performance.
• Review specifications with sales and engineering; contribute technical input.
