Job summary

Switchgear Magazine is seeking an experienced Product Application Engineer – Medium Voltage (MV) to support our growth in the North American market. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of MV switchgear and circuit breakers, ensuring compliance with North American standards. Responsibilities include standards analysis, customer engagement, and supporting sales efforts. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years of relevant experience are required. Preferred experience in sectors like data centers or renewable energy.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in MV switchgear and/or MV circuit breaker applications.
• Experience in the North American market is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of MV switchgear technologies and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze North American MV standards and specifications.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of MV switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Support sales teams in pursuing MV switchgear and circuit breaker opportunities.

Skills

Understanding of MV switchgear technologies

Familiarity with IEEE standards

Knowledge of protection systems

Customer-facing engineering experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
