Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Conformity Assessment Engineer to coordinate between engineering teams and external bodies, including UL, across US and Mexico locations. The role reports to the Conformity Assessment group within External Affairs and requires guiding product listings and regulatory approvals.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, represent Schneider Electric at IEEE, and drive simplification to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with conformity standards and external labs (UL/IEEE)

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations between Schneider design engineering and outside testing laboratories to maximize value of test plans.
• Guide and train engineering staff in understanding requirements to maintain product Listings.
• Prioritize across multiple products and projects, balancing business priorities with constrained external resources.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve blockers, and ensure project delivery success.
• Represent Schneider Electric by serving on external standards bodies such as IEEE.
• Develop and implement simplification plans to improve processes, reduce complexity, and increase efficiency.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments using data, regulatory knowledge, and sound judgment to inform decisions.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to gather insights, align priorities, and maintain transparency.
