Job summary

Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Conformity Assessment Engineer to support medium voltage products. You will coordinate between engineering and external bodies (e.g., UL) and work across the US and Spain, reporting to the Conformity Assessment group under External Affairs.

The role covers multiple switchgear lines and requires strong regulatory knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations between Schneider design engineering and outside testing laboratories to maximize the value of test plans.
• Guide and train engineering staff and others in understanding the requirements to maintain product Listings.
• Represent Schneider Electric by serving on external standards bodies such as IEEE.
• Develop and implement simplification plans to improve processes, reduce complexity, and increase efficiency.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, using data, regulatory knowledge, and sound judgement to inform decisions.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to gather insights, align priorities, and maintain transparency.
