Job summary

Amentum is seeking an MV-22 Mechanic II in Kaneohe, HI, to perform organizational level troubleshooting, removal, replacement, and installation of MV-22 components. Candidates should have MV-22 experience and be able to document maintenance actions per applicable publications.

Responsibilities include inspections, component repairs, and training junior mechanics; a DoD Secret clearance may be required. Tools supplied; ownership and access provisions apply.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years actual and recent systems experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of NALCOMIS reporting system to report and document discrepancies.
• Advanced knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Publications such as the 4790.2 Series and IETMS.
• CDI qualification syllabus within 90 days of employment.
• Previous CDI required; MV-22 CDI experience preferred.
• CDI and related tools such as APU, BFWS, EWIS, Tow Driver, Hydraulic Contamination, Tire and Wheel.
• Candidates must supply their own tools; specialty tools provided.
• Must obtain DoD Public Trust or SECRET Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections as required by MRCs and directives.
• Remove, repair, inspect, troubleshoot, reinstall and replace aircraft components per manuals and procedures.
• Remove and inspect hydraulic components and assemblies per approved procedures.
• Perform structures and composite repairs per manuals and SOPs.
• Complete final inspections and documentation on non-flight critical components.
• Operate support equipment for flight line and ground operations.
• Assist and train Mechanic Is and IIs in organizational level maintenance.
• Contribute to safety training and enforce safety standards in the workplace.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, service bulletins, and directives.
• Team-oriented; support other maintenance and administrative operations.
