Job summary

Amentum in Kaneohe, HI is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 1 to assist senior mechanics with troubleshooting and installation of MV-22 aircraft components, performing tasks across airframe, hydraulics, avionics, and flight control systems.

The role requires adherence to Navy publications, willingness to cross-train, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Candidates must provide their own tools and meet experience requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years actual and recent systems experience required.
• Ability to quickly learn the NALCOMIS reporting system.
• Knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Publications such as the 4790.2 series and IETMS.
• CDI experience preferred.
• APU, BFWS, EWIS, Hydraulic Contamination, Fuel Surveillance, Tire and Wheel qualifications within 180 days of hire.
• If military experience, provide JST.
• Candidates must supply their own tools within 10 days; specialty tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduled, unscheduled, calendar, conditional, and special inspections as required by MRCs and directives.
• Assist in inspection, removal, replacement, troubleshooting, and rigging of Blade Fold Wing Stow systems and components.
• Operate support equipment and maintain installed aircraft systems and equipment for work center operations.
• Learn DoD IETMS and document maintenance actions.
• Assist in completion of inspections as required.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and directives.
• Work with supervisors and teammates as directed.
• May cross-train in multiple specialties.
• Perform other duties to support mission.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
