Butler University is seeking a Muslim Life Advisor to support Muslim students, foster belonging, and advance Islamic life on campus. The role involves mentoring students, coordinating prayer and study circles, and collaborating with campus and community partners on interfaith initiatives.
Reporting to the Compass Center, the advisor will develop experiential programs that deepen understanding of Islam and support outreach to prospective students and families, locally and internationally.
The Muslim Life Advisor supports Muslim students and advancesMuslim life at Butler University by fostering belonging, providingreligious and spiritual guidance, and connecting students withcampus and community resources. The Advisor develops experientialopportunities that deepen the campus community’s understanding ofIslamic beliefs, practices, cultures, and communities; supportsoutreach to prospective Muslim students and families; andcontributes expertise and support to The Compass Center’sinterfaith programs. The Advisor brings knowledge, experience, andvision grounded in the diversity of Islamic traditions andcommunities and, under the direction of the Director, carries adefined portfolio aligned with Compass Center priorities andbroader Culture & Inclusion and DEISA initiatives.
