Selective Insurance in Scottsdale, AZ offers an Ignite Internship for summer 2027. This 11-week, full-time internship provides hands-on exposure to MUSIC, the underwriting process, and cross-functional teamwork within a regional office in Scottsdale.

As a current college student, you will work on real projects, gain leadership exposure, and participate in a community volunteer day, with a hybrid setup and mentorship from senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student to qualify.
• Interest in learning about insurance industry, specifically excess and surplus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to communicate professionally and work in a team.
• College credit can be earned depending on institution requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful business projects supporting MUSIC’s growth, profitability, and operational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real business challenges and introduce ideas, including AI integration and process improvements.
• Gain exposure to underwriting foundations and understand an insurance carrier’s operations.
