Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is hiring dedicated teachers committed to equity and anti-racist, culturally responsive teaching. You will design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom where every student learns and thrives.

You will collaborate with the Leadership Team, receive coaching, and participate in weekly professional development to grow as an educator and leader. This is a full-time position located at our school sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required).
• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements (required): Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role, or Be eligible for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit (CPR certification by AHA/ARC prerequisite).
• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to KIPP Northern California community (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build partnerships.
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
