Job summary

The American Museum of Natural History is seeking part-time Hosts to assist bookable and public tour groups. Duties include greeting tour groups, distributing and maintaining tour radios, and collecting radios at the end of the tours. This position also support miscellaneous tasks in the Volunteer Services office and frontline staff during group tour blackout periods.

This position is expected to work regular weekend hours. Flexible availability, including holiday availability, is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Greet tour groups and assist with bookable tours.
• Distribute and maintain tour radios.
• Assist guides with start of public tours and special requests.
• Set up and sanitize radios and tour devices after each tour.
• Update attendance logs and enter data into spreadsheets.
• Support frontline staff during blackout periods.
