Job summary

Philbrook Museum of Art Inc is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional service and drive sales in the Museum Shop. You will provide product knowledge, engage visitors with the museum experience, and handle transactions accurately while packaging merchandise.

The role requires flexibility to work Wednesday through Sunday, with the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and support daily shop operations and special order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail or service industry experience.
• Experience developing long-term customer relationships in a similar environment preferred.
• Previous cash handling and POS experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality customer service to Museum Shop clientele to generate sales.
• Engage guests in the Philbrook experience through exhibitions, events, and programming.
• Enter sales transactions accurately into the register and package merchandise.
• Prepare shop for opening and balance money drawer, end-of-day reports.
• Assist in inventory and merchandise stock levels on the sales floor.
• Fulfill orders via phone, mail, online, and special requests; pack and ship as needed.
• Work as a team on daily projects directed by the Floor Manager.
