Job summary

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is seeking friendly, customer-service oriented individuals to join our gift shop team. Work in a one-of-a-kind environment, greet visitors, and help them find products of interest.

You will process payments with the POS system, restock displays, and support a positive team atmosphere in a fast-paced setting. Previous retail experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year retail sales experience preferred; POS experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the store and provide friendly customer service.
• Guide and direct customers to products of interest and answer inquiries.
• Assist customers with museum-related inquiries and payments.
• Accurately total, process, and collect payments using the POS system.
• Restock and maintain displays per company standards.
• Participate in opening and closing procedures.
• Contribute to a positive environment where all employees respect each other.
