Job summary

The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) is seeking a Full-Time Museum Facilities Maintainer in Corona, NY. Under supervision, you will inspect, maintain, and repair museum buildings and equipment, performing a range of duties from electrical work to basic carpentry.

This on-site role supports critical facility operations and safety for visitors and staff. Qualifications include a high school diploma, a NYS driver’s license, and at least one year in building maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License is required.
• One year of experience in building construction or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect buildings, structures, and equipment for defects.
• Perform routine maintenance on facilities systems and machinery.
• Repair cosmetic, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Assist with installation and testing of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
