American Museum Of Natural History in New York seeks a Museum Maintainer/HVAC Technician to perform preventive maintenance and service of a wide range of HVAC equipment, including steam systems, pumps, chillers, and distribution piping.

The role requires monitoring environmental conditions across the museum and responding to emergencies to ensure critical spaces like storerooms and exhibitions remain within specification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service of HVAC equipment including pneumatic systems, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, chillers and distribution piping.
• Inspect and service steam system piping and components, replacing or repairing equipment as needed.
• Conduct 24/7 rounds to monitor temperature, humidity, and pressure for museum spaces and storage areas.
• Respond to HVAC emergencies and other urgent maintenance issues as required.
