Qualifications

• Municipal engineering experience preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make public presentations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of computer aided design software.
• Ability to work in groups as well as individually.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client manager to municipalities or public agencies, coordinating projects to client satisfaction.
• Develop or implement engineering solutions to improve and maintain infrastructure.
• Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems using CAD tools.
• Compute load, water flow, material stress to determine design specs.
• Estimate quantities and costs of materials and labor for feasibility.
• Analyze survey data and plans for project insights.
• Assess traffic patterns and environmental conditions for project impact.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and governmental regulations.
• Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies.
• Attend public meetings as Municipal Engineer and present project reports and proposals.
• Provide technical advice on design, construction, or capital programs.
• Support field activities and data coordination for construction inspection.
