Job summary

The City of Bremerton is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair traffic signal systems, SCADA telemetry, and related electronic equipment. You will work across city departments, perform preventive maintenance, and support field and vehicle electronics.

Qualified candidates have an associate degree in electronics, 3+ years of experience, and a Washington driver’s license. A journeyman electrical license is preferred; candidates may require certain certifications and must be able to

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electronics or closely related field and 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing electronic systems.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license required.
  • Preferred: Washington State Journeyman Electrical License (EL-01).
  • Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments with safety considerations and physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, installs, services, and repairs traffic signal systems and related components.
  • Reviews plans and inspections; instructs others in equipment use.
  • Supports radio and SCADA telemetry systems, RTUs, and related controllers.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and maintains accurate records and documentation.
  • Assists with equipment standards and low-voltage system repairs across City departments.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots electronics in City vehicles and field equipment.
