Job summary

City of Bristol is seeking a Traffic Signal Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and verify traffic signals, street lights, and pavement markings. You will coordinate with police, utilities, and contractors to resolve issues and ensure proper timing.

The role requires CT licensure, IMSA certifications, and the ability to work with elevated equipment in an outdoor setting. Full-time schedule includes weekdays with rotating responsibilities within Public Works.

Qualifications

• Background in maintaining traffic signals and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
• Experience coordinating with city, state officials and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and verify operation of traffic signals and related devices.
• Coordinate signal timing, street lights, and MUTCD compliance work orders.
• Interact with police, utilities and contractors; maintain logs and inventories.
