The role supports project managers and engineers in municipal design and construction activities, with potential to grow in a collaborative, community-focused firm. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, is pursuing or intends to obtain Engineer-in-Training status within 12 months, and is comfortable traveling to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ACCE) required.
• Certified Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Prior experience in infrastructure design and/or construction observation is preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD/design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation) is required.
• Frequent travel during construction season is required.
• Valid driver's license required for travel to facilities and job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal projects.
• Perform basic design computations, preliminary layout and design, and draft preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates; assist with project plans and specifications.
• Support construction observation duties including staking, documentation, measurement, testing, and coordinating with contractors and City staff.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
