Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our municipal engineering team in Minnesota. This entry level role offers exposure to civil and municipal projects, from design through construction documentation, under supervision by a licensed engineer.

The position emphasizes teamwork, data-driven analysis, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable, sustainable infrastructure solutions for highways, utilities, and public works.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and successful completion of the EIT exam or ability to take the EIT exam within six months of starting.
Related Co-op/ Internship experience preferred; 1–2 years of related civil engineering experience for more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Support a team in developing civil designs, plans, specifications, and reports under supervision.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design compatibility with intent.
Perform field observations and assist in construction activities as needed.
Review shop drawings and submittals; prepare site observation reports.
Communicate professionally with project teams, clients, and contractors.
Analyze proposed solutions for reliability, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.
