Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a strong municipal engineering team in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. This entry-level position involves designing civil and municipal projects, preparing plans and specifications, reports, cost estimates, and coordinating field observations under supervision by a Licensed Engineer.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering and has completed or will complete the EIT exam within six months; Co-op/internship experience is preferred for new

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and EIT or ability to take within six months.
• Co-op/internship experience preferred for new graduates; 1-2 years for more experienced engineers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Support development of civil designs, plans, specifications, and reports under supervision.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
• Perform field work and construction observation as needed.
• Assist in review of shop drawings, RFIs, and site observation reports.
• Communicate professionally with project team members, clients, and contractors.
• Analyze project solutions for reliability, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.
• Utilize 3D modeling software in design and analysis of civil systems.
• Compute and review cost estimates for feasibility and budgeting.
• Collect data and perform calculations to support design decisions.
• Interpret and verify compliance with codes and engineering standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
