Job summary

Tampa Port Authority seeks skilled trades workers to support maintenance and event operations at Port Tampa Bay. Typical duties include setting up and breaking down for events, moving furniture, assembling cubicles, and performing inspections.

Responsibilities cover complex repairs, maintenance, and new construction on port facilities, with preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, bridges, water/sewer systems, and electrical/HVAC systems. Overtime and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the tenth grade or higher.
• Three or more years of experience as a skilled trades worker in two or more trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting or other trades).
• Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required competencies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down for events at designated facilities, move furniture, assemble cubicles, and perform routine inspections.
• Perform complex repairs, maintenance or new construction on port buildings and tenant facilities.
• Preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, passenger bridges, water/sewer systems, fire pumps, generators, electrical/HVAC systems.
