Job summary

Hillsborough County Aviation Authority-Tampa International Airport is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance across airport facilities. Responsibilities include repairing plumbing systems, drywall, locks, and roofs, plus painting and operating lifts safely.

The role requires flexibility for rotating shifts and emergency call-ins, with a non-exempt status and shift-based compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance or related vocational training.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and adjustments to plumbing systems, water lines, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains drywall, furniture, locks, and roofs.
• Paints interior and exterior surfaces to maintain visual appeal and protect surfaces.
• Operates lifts and motorized equipment safely for maintenance tasks.
• Maintains clean and safe work sites after task completion.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
