Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul CARES in Tampa, FL seeks a Maintenance Technician II to support the Director of Plant Operations and maintain agency facilities, grounds, and client areas. You will help keep buildings safe, serviced, and compliant while performing a variety of skilled trades.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in maintenance trades. You will be involved in multiple sites and must pass Level II background checks and a Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in skilled trades.
• Must pass Level II background screening.
• Must have valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist and provide backup to Director of Plant Operations ensuring each building operates safely and efficiently.
• Perform lawn maintenance as required.
• Strip and wax floors in all agency programs as directed.
• Work across trades: carpentry, plumbing, roofing, electrical, painting.
• Maintain Center of Hope client rooms and prepare rooms for new admissions.
