Job summary

Tessera is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Worker III to perform skilled to highly skilled building upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, and structural tasks. The role covers maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, often in adverse weather.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.
• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters.
• Responsible for replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
• Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures
• Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
• Use portable handheld electronic devices to manage work.
• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
• Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
