Job summary

Union is seeking a Maintenance Worker General to help build, repair, and maintain our facilities. You’ll work with experienced staff to keep buildings, equipment, and grounds in top condition while solving problems as they arise.

The role requires hands-on skills across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and related trades, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $22.13 to $25.15.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and construction skills across trades.
• Ability to read blueprints or sketches.
• Reliability, safety-minded with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance, construction, and repair projects.
• Perform semi-skilled work across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing, and related maintenance functions.
• Clean drains and perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
• Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.
• Assist with generator setup and related maintenance tasks.
• Install and repair fixtures such as: Window shades and blinds; Curtain rods; Wall fans; Door locks and hardware.
• Operate equipment, including trucks and backhoes, as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
