Job summary

Tessera is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Worker III to perform skilled to highly skilled maintenance across buildings, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related experience. Candidates should be capable of heavy manual labor, learning various maintenance tasks, and working on a federal installation with security clearances where needed.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.
• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.
• Ability to learn a wide variety of building and ground maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work.
• Replace electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
• Patch holes in walls or ceilings with plaster or compound.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets; caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures.
• Communicate with customers and supervisors and inform them of repairs and needs.
