Job summary

Tessera is seeking a General Maintenance Worker l for the Structural Shop in Silverdale, WA. This full-time, non-exempt role pays $25.39/hr and involves maintenance, basic upgrades, and collaboration with skilled trades to keep facilities safe and functional.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-3 years in general maintenance. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED required.
• 0-3 years in general maintenance or closely related field.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
• Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and balance.

Responsibilities

• Apply touch-up paint, caulking, replace floor and ceiling tile, replace electrical outlets, switch covers and bulbs, repair/replace door hardware, clean roof drains and gutters.
• Assist skilled workers in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry work.
• Maintain and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Communicate with customer and supervisors, inform customer of repairs and determine needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
• Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
