Job summary

Rainey Property Management in Dallas is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for our affordable housing community. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, respond to resident work orders, and help prepare units for new residents.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and teamwork with the Maintenance Supervisor. Strong communication and reliability are essential, with on-call duties and standard PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of hands-on property maintenance experience (affordable housing experience a plus).
• Training or certification in building systems, HVAC, or trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Promptly respond to resident work orders and ensure repairs are completed professionally and efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repair methods.
• Replace and install fixtures such as faucets, outlets, lightbulbs, locks, and cabinets.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to resident concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to timely resolution.
• Accurately manage work orders by closing, editing, and notating each request in the property management system to ensure clear documentation and timely follow-up.
