Job summary

Franklin County NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep county facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. You will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair work across buildings and grounds to support daily operations.

The role involves journey-level trades in electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and HVAC, with opportunities for on-call work and after-hours coverage. A high school diploma and NC driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with trade skills or equivalent.
• Experience in building trades and facilities maintenance.
• Ability to perform electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of building, facilities and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry issues.
• Maintain lighting, doors, and fixtures and support grounds keeping tasks.
• Respond to call-backs and after-hour emergencies as required.
• Assist with safety and cleanliness standards and maintain records.
