Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance, LLC is seeking a General Trades Technician to provide general maintenance to facilities and building systems at multiple sites. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other maintenance tasks while operating plant equipment and a CMMS.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of relevant experience. On-call shifts may be required, and a strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment preferred.
• Have general knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Perform work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and over 50 pounds occasionally.
• Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
• Must be a team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
• Must be computer proficient and able to use a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, and other items.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and buildings remain in good condition.
• Adheres to preventive maintenance program for heating and ventilation systems and replaces filters as needed.
• Assists in emergency maintenance and repairs as required.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs wiring, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Reads blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to determine work and resources.
• Maintains a clean, safe workplace following safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Trains other technicians and provides mentorship as needed.
• Uses CMMS to log work orders and track maintenance tasks.
