Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance, LLC is seeking a General Trades Technician to provide general maintenance across facilities, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. You will perform preventative and emergency repairs, read blueprints, and maintain building systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoor work in all weather, and occasional on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skills trade certification preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment preferred.
• Have general knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Perform work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
• Must be a team player with strong work ethic and reliable.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Certifications may be required at time of hire or obtained within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Respond to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC, appliances, water heaters, plumbing and fixtures, carpentry, painting, and roofing tasks.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machines and building conditions.
• Follow preventive maintenance program for heating and ventilation systems and replace filters as needed.
• Assist in emergency maintenance, including sewage back-ups and water-related incidents.
• Assemble, install, repair wiring, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs; maintain and repair building systems.
