Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for multiple companies and locations. You will help with journals, reports, and compliance tasks, ensuring accurate, timely payroll for about 1,500 employees.

The role requires 3+ years in payroll, multi-state experience, and proficiency with ADP/Paycom/Paylocity plus Excel. This on-site position offers benefits and growth within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-company or multi-location environment.
• Working knowledge of certified payroll and Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements.
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll compliance is a MUST.
• Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity) and MS Office—especially Excel.
• Experience in construction, government contracting or similarly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Payroll Manager in processing weekly payroll for multiple companies and branch locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness (1500 employees)
• Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reporting for multi-company reconciliation
• Serve as backup for preparing and submitting certified payroll reports in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable prevailing wage laws
• Assist in completing and submitting WH-347 forms (or state equivalents) and statements of compliance
• Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws (FLSA, state-specific requirements, etc.)
• Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll reporting, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
