Job summary

DZYNE Technologies in Irvine, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to join our onsite team. You will support full‑cycle payroll across multiple states and entities, maintaining accurate records and addressing employee payroll questions.

The role requires knowledge of payroll systems, compliance, and internal controls, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. A strong Excel/HRIS background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of payroll processing, including payroll taxes, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, detail oriented, accuracy, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with payroll/HRIS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently while flagging issues proactively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support processing of payroll runs across multiple U.S. states and entities, ensuring accuracy of hours, earnings, deductions, tax withholdings and compliance with internal policies and wage rules.
• Help maintain compliance across U.S. states, including staying current on Federal, State, and Local payroll laws.
• Support reconciliation of payroll data and benefits across systems, ledgers and vendors
• Maintain organized payroll documentation, tax records and update employee information to support accurate recordkeeping and payroll processing.
• Investigate payroll questions, address discrepancies, and provide timely support to employees regarding pay‑related matters, questions, errors and elevate to payroll supervisor as necessary.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, internal reviews, audits (internal and external) and reporting activities.
• Ad hoc requests as necessary.
