Job summary

DZYNE Technologies, now part of Ondas Sentinel, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor in Irvine, CA, to oversee payroll for multiple entities and locations in a fast-paced onsite setting. You will supervise the payroll team and coordinate processing to ensure timely, accurate payments.

Ideal candidates have deep payroll knowledge, strong analytical and confidentiality skills, and the ability to drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of payroll processing, including taxes, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and flag issues proactively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, train, and manage payroll team across multiple entities and locations.
• Lead, prepare, review and approve payroll runs across states and entities, ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Supervise and approve payroll data reconciliations and benefits.
• Organize payroll documentation, tax records, and employee information.
• Respond to payroll questions, address discrepancies, and provide timely support.
• Prepare GL reconciliations, audits, and reporting activities.
• Create documentation of Standard Operating Payroll processes.
• Promote accountability and continuous process improvement.
• Handle ad hoc payroll requests.
