Job summary

Payroll Supervisor at DZYNE Technologies, LLC in Irvine, CA, onsite, will supervise the payroll team across multiple entities, ensuring accurate processing, tax compliance, and timely reporting. You’ll coordinate payroll cycles, maintain documentation, and address internal and external inquiries with a focus on internal controls and confidentiality.

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll taxes, reconciliations, HRIS, and Excel, with the ability to manage high-volume, multi-state payroll

• Extensive knowledge of payroll processing, including payroll taxes, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, detail oriented, accuracy, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with payroll/HRIS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently while flagging issues proactively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, train, manage workload distribution, establish priorities, evaluate and oversee payroll team across multiple entities and locations on process, procedures, meeting deadlines, tax compliance and internal controls
• Lead, Prepare, review and approve processing of payroll runs across multiple U.S. states and entities, ensuring accuracy of hours, earnings, direct deposits, tax withholdings and compliance with internal policies and wage rules
• Ensure compliance across U.S. states, including staying current on Federal, State, and Local payroll laws.
• Supervise and approve reconciliation of payroll data and benefits across systems, ledgers and vendors
• Oversee and manage the organization of payroll documentation, tax records and employee information to support accurate record keeping, payroll processing and tax compliance.
• Oversee and review team’s responses to internal and external payroll questions, address discrepancies, and provide timely support to employees regarding pay-related matters, questions, errors and escalate to Director as necessary.
• Prepare, oversee and approve payroll general ledger reconciliations, internal reviews, audits (internal and external) and reporting activities.
• Create documentation of Standard Operating Payroll process
• Promote accountability, continuous process improvement for payroll efficiency, compliance and customer service
• Ad hoc requests as necessary.
