Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Medical Assistant I / Patient Service Specialist to join a multispecialty physician practice. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will work within clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality patient care.

You will room patients, take vital signs, document history and medications in the EMR, and assist with in-office testing and EKGs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant, medical secretary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: assist providers, room patients, and prep for visits.
• Take vital signs and record data accurately in EMR.
• Perform in-office tests and EKGs as ordered; ensure supply stock and proper restocking.
