Job summary

careers-centralhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Multi-Specialty Clinic. Under supervision, the MA will perform patient care duties and collaborate with licensed clinicians to support high-quality outcomes.

Essential duties include pre-visit planning, documentation, assisting with exams and procedures, and coordinating referrals and tests as needed. Strong communication and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent military healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with care team to optimize clinical outcomes.
• Communicates and coordinates patient care and workflow.
• Reviews notes from previous visits and documents results prior to visits.
• Practices AIDET during patient interactions.
• Rooms patients per standardized workflow and documents vital signs and medications.
• Performs EKG, spirometry, point‑of‑care testing and specimen collection as competency allows.
• Assists with exams, treatments, and cleaning of equipment per standards.
• Dismisses patients and schedules follow-ups, ensuring patient education and plan review.
• Manages MyChart messages, referrals, and scheduling.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional demeanor.
